When the sun starts blazing, and the kids are buzzing with end-of-school-year excitement, it’s time to think about how to keep that energy channeled into something fun and memorable. Sure, you could throw a standard backyard BBQ with the usual games and snacks, or you could elevate your summer party to legendary status with these summer party ideas for kids from GameTruck. Turning your house into the hottest spot in the neighborhood, GameTruck delivers an effortless setup and an unforgettable experience. So, why sweat over party planning when you can let the pros bring the party to you?

No Sweat Setup: GameTruck Brings the Party to You

Imagine planning a party where the hardest thing you have to do is press a button on your phone. Enter GameTruck, a mobile gaming theater that arrives at your doorstep, fully equipped with the latest video games and consoles. The beauty of GameTruck isn’t just in its entertainment value but in the sheer simplicity it offers. Gone are the days of running around, setting up party games, and decorating for hours. Now, your biggest challenge is not overcooking the hot dogs or accidentally turning the veggie platter into a charcoal exhibit. GameTruck rolls up, transforms your home into the epicenter of excitement, and kicks party stress to the curb.

Cool Competitions: Laser Tag Showdowns

With GameTruck’s laser tag, your backyard morphs into an exhilarating battlefield, igniting the competitive spirit in kids and adults alike. Picture this: two teams, stealthily maneuvering between bushes and behind trees, the garden turning into a scene straight out of a sci-fi film—so much so that you might expect the neighbor’s cat to don a space helmet and join in! The laughter and tactical shouts fill the air, making every participant feel like a hero in their action-packed movie. It’s not just a game; it’s an adventure right in your backyard.

GelTag: The Newest Party Blast

Then there’s GelTag, GameTruck’s latest and greatest offering. Think of it as paintball without the pain and mess. GelTag is a game where players shoot small, soft, water-based gel pellets from blasters that feel like the toys of the future. Describing them as alien goo might sound about right—they’re harmless but thrilling, adding an element of the extraordinary to any party. Kids get to dive into a world of friendly combat, where the only invasion is one of fun and excitement, and the only thing you’ll need to clean up is the kids’ energy levels before bedtime!

Wrap-Up with Water Tag: Summer’s Ultimate Finale

After a day filled with digital delights and gel-blasting giggles, what better way to cool down than with Water Tag? This game takes the excitement of laser tag and mixes it with the refreshing splash of water games. Imagine the scene: as the sun starts to set, the heat of the day lingering, the water tag vests come on. Soon, the air is filled with squeals and splashes, with even the most reserved dad getting caught in the crossfire, ending up with a surprise splash that drenches him head to toe—a deluge of the decade that brings out the laughter and wraps up the day with wet, wonderful memories.

Conclusion

Hosting a GameTruck party this summer means giving your kids a blast of fun while keeping the fuss to a minimum for yourself. It’s about creating those perfect summer moments where the kids are entertained, active, and immersed in joy, and all you have to worry about is capturing those laughter-filled faces on camera. With GameTruck, every element of the party, from the intense gaming sessions in a cool, air-conditioned trailer to the high-energy backyard battles, is handled with expert care.

So why stick to the same old when you can go for the extraordinary with GameTruck’s summer party ideas for kids? Don’t let another summer slip by with the same old lemonade stands and sprinkler runs. Looking for some team building ideas to energize your employees? Let me recommend GameTruck. While GameTruck is known great for birthday parties, did you also know that GameTruck hosts events for adults? That’s right, playing together is not just for kids. In fact, our founder, Scott Novis just published a book called Work at Play, and it’s all about Game Based Learning for Teams. While many people think of video game events as competitive affairs, they don’t have to be. There is a new generation of **cooperative video games** that bring teams together to learn, and play, connect.

Mobile Gaming Theater

At GameTruck, we are all about making fun easy. The mobile video game theater is an awesome environment to play games, but it is not the only way to play together. We understand that some adults might be reluctant to step inside our special digital club-house. Kids love to dive in and play. Adults want time and space to view and assess. Kids will play just about anything. Adults want to understand what they are getting into before they commit time, attention, and effort. And, on a purely practical level, adults and kids for the most part come in two different sizes!

Gameplex

That is why we created GamePlex, a way to create the GameTruck experience in your building instead of in your parking lot. With GamePlex, our staff can turn virtually any conference or break room into a fun place to host a team event. We bring the consoles, the screens, and enough controllers for everyone to play.

Pick Up and Play Games

And of course we can do tournaments, but we can do so much more. We have a selection of simple to pick up and play games that anyone of any age can learn to play in a few minutes. The controls are simple. Cooperation is where the challenge lies. Games like Overcooked give teams a chance to work toward a common goal. Games like Snipper Clips challenge teams to problem solve in groups. And if you have a remote or hybrid team, we even have our own game, “Team Craft”! If you can participate in a zoom call, you can play RSC together.

Conclusion

Ready to transform your next team event into an unforgettable experience? Contact GameTruck today and let us bring the fun to you! With our innovative approach to team building through play, we’ll help you create lasting connections, boost morale, and unleash the full potential of your team. Whether it’s in our mobile video game theater or through our GamePlex setup, we’re here to make team building fun, easy, and effective. Get in touch with GameTruck and let the games begin!

Yes, you can book GameTruck over text!

When I started GameTruck in 2006, we used to write booking information on index cards. Then we got “fancy” and preprinted forms on the index cards. We have come a long way in 18 years, but what has not changed is our desire to make it as easy as possible for you to communicate with us.

Over the years, we kept investing in software, systems, and people to make it easier to book. 2006 was the year before the first iPhone launched. By 2010 we were rebuilding our website to be mobile friendly. In another few years, we had to make everything load in under a second. You’re a busy person, you can’t wait around for web pages to load! And I don’t blame you.

So we implemented online booking.

We Take Online Booking Seriously

BTW, online booking for a business like ours is no joke.

• We do not operate at airports where the distance between destinations is always known.
• We are not a plumbing company, or an appliance delivery company, who gives you vague deliver time “windows” which they miss more often than not.

No. We commit to be at your house, at a specific time, ready to play. What’s more, we have to know where we are coming from, and where we are going to next. And it all has to just work. Automagically.

While we always value the personal touch (hey, we come to your home, to entertain your irreplaceable children, we think connection matters), we also recognized that you want to be able to self serve on your schedule. Waiting to talk to a booking specialist is not always convenient.

Experience Seamless Party Planning: Book GameTruck Over Text

Online booking was such a major innovation, I would have thought that would have been it, but nope. Once again, we needed to innovate. In all likelihood it was all the spam phone calls (I assume I’m not the only one who gets those), or it could have been the explosion in messaging apps, but more and more people, just like you, prefer to communicate via text. And so we revamped our processes once again, integrating text communication so our amazing booking agents can help you where ever you are in your party planning process. You never have to talk to someone on the phone.

The goal has always been, and remains the same; Make it easier for you to communicate with us. And that’s just one of many reasons we have thousands upon thousands of five star reviews.
