GameTruck Arlington hosted a party for Dawn, The Frugal Mom, in mid-June 2014. Owners since 2011, David and Kim Richardson were able to coordinate a great event for Dawn and her guests. The GameCoach did a great job making sure all gamers were having fun and the parents had a chance to relax outside the Game Theater, making it the easiest (and coolest) party” Dawn had ever thrown.  Dawn came away from the event with great feedback on how easy and cool (both in a fun way and an air-conditioned way!) her GameTruck party was.

Dawn, the voice behind The Frugal Mom, is a mother of three in Fort Worth, TX. The Frugal Mom posts about ways to save with deals and coupons, as well as everything from recipes, travel stories to product reviews and giveaways.

Summer is here and the hot sun is upon us!  Last week, we invited our friends out for a Game Truck Party!  It was the talk of the school, and though I had heard about a game truck, it was nothing like seeing it in your front yard and then… getting inside!

Setting up the Game Truck Party was quick and easy:

  • First you call your local Game Truck franchise and choose your preferred date and time.  Make sure you know where you’ll have the Game Truck park – it takes up about 60 feet of space.  You can have the truck park anywhere – your home, your office or at the park!
  • Soon after initial set up, you will receive a confirmation email from the company, with information on sending branded invites and details.
  • Monitor the RSVP’s so you can plan accordingly.  Then, sit back and wait for the big day!  It really is that easy!

The Game Truck arrived at our house, and I was excited to be invited inside first… before any child could have a look.  The party attendant was quick to explain the games available, and answered any questions I had about ratings or experience level.  I was asked if I wanted to remove the mature games as playable options, and I did.  I appreciated the fact that I went inside first… none of the children even knew those mature games were an option and no one had to be the “bad guy” by removing them in front of children! GameTruck San Antonio hosted an end-of-school party for Shauna, the voice behind Adventures of 8 in early June. Randy Klepetko and his wife Christy were able to organize a smooth and successful event. The GameCoach and assistant GameCoach that Shauna worked with were able to deliver a great experience for all the guests using their knowledge of the games and patience with the guests.

Party planning for kids can be super-overwhelming. Last year Little Man chose a party place for his birthday and it was a fiasco. Not only was it hard to make sure he gave the invites to all of his friends, once we got to the location we found out that there were two other parties at the same time. Oh my goodness, what a mad-house. Thankfully I now know that there is a better way to do things. You see, Little Man asked for an end-of-school party and at first I brushed him off as I thought it would be too much work, but then I learned about GameTruck, the ultimate video game party truck!
